John Davies Framing – tooled cassetta

A traditional frame inspired by classic Italian design, suited to paintings and mirrors alike.

The sight edge of this cassetta has a simple yet stylish carved pattern, whilst the flat has an intricately punched pattern to give it life and texture. The frame is hand made in lime wood with a pine base, gessoed and gilded with 23.75 carat gold leaf. It can be toned and distressed to your preference. The frame can be made to any dimensions required, subject to a minimum profile width of 5cm. The example shown measures 47.6 x 38.1 x 11.5cm.
