Fully funded by ScottishPower
- We lease the space from you, fully fund the EV charge points and you’ll receive a share of the revenue. You could also benefit from higher footfall as drivers are increasingly choosing destinations with EV charge points.
Hassle-free experience
- ScottishPower will own, operate, and maintain the EV chargers at your hotel site(s). We’ll design a bespoke solution that compliments your location.
Trusted installations
- Our EV chargers and installations meet applicable health and safety standards (1). We only use experienced installers to ensure your EV chargers are installed safely, and we can provide ongoing support when you need us.
What makes a good EV charge point site?
- Two parking spaces per EV charge point with 24/7 public access
- Minimum of 3 chargers (6 spaces)
- Limited parking restrictions in place
- High daily traffic is vital
- Beneficial if the nearest similar charge point is at least ½ mile away.
- Requirement to lease your land for at least a 10-year period. If you move premises, then our chargers would require to remain on the original site and continue to operate as per the terms agreed.
We will work with you to determine a suitable programme for the installation with minimal disruption. Public EV chargers are designed to be used by anyone, therefore the location of the charger must be accessible to the public. We will work with you to determine the best location on your premises. The EV chargers are enabled and controlled via the ScottishPower Recharge App.
Any issues with the EV charger can be reported to our support team. Our support number and email address can be found on the charge point and in the ScottishPower Recharge App. The maintenance of the EV chargers is the responsibility of ScottishPower for the duration of the contract.
