Softicated : The Art of Reinvented Design
With its stools, rugs, and lighting fixtures, Softicated offers a refreshing vision of design. This Swiss brand brings a breath of fresh air to the world of furniture with refined and innovative products.
Sitting on a signet ring or storing your dishes in a lunch box—this is the original experience Softicated creates. Founded in 2021, this Swiss brand expresses a novel design approach through stools, rugs, lighting, and furniture, drawing inspiration from everyday objects or nature—like a ring for stools, a satchel for sofas, or a whale for a line of lamps. This vision is embodied by Cyril Rumpler, Softicated’s designer, who launched the brand out of a lifelong dream to create objects that are both aesthetic and durable, built with rigorous technical precision. Alongside his artistic director, he develops a collection that merges the timeless charm of contemporary design with inspiration from the 1970s. Softicated is above all a subtle dialogue between form and function, with every piece of furniture, lighting fixture, and rug designed not only to bring beauty and emotion but also to offer essential functionality for daily comfort.
The Centrepiece of Any Interior
Though Softicated offers a diverse range, its signature collection is the Signet Ring—a stool available in several colors that stands out for its originality and its ability to “fit just as well in classic, modern, or vintage interiors,” says Cyril Rumpler. For lighting, the Flying Fish collection, made from ceramic and marble, is a true work of art, adding refinement and originality to any interior. The Ebb & Flow rug collection combines the softness of botanical silk, the warmth of wool, and the innovation of Econyl—a recycled material made from discarded fishing nets—to create pieces that are luxurious, soft, and sophisticated. Each product is the result of a meticulous design process, blending noble materials such as wood, leather, velvet, glass, steel, and marble to ensure a unique experience.
“Balancing Aesthetics, Comfort, and Functionality”
Functionality is, of course, an essential aspect for the designer, who envisions his products not only to be beautiful but also to enhance his clients’ daily lives. “You need to balance aesthetics, comfort, and functionality to spark emotion and create a visual and practical experience,” explains the designer. Softicated also follows an eco-responsible approach, with its products crafted by artisans in France, Italy, and Portugal—meeting the expectations of a demanding clientele looking for premium pieces that are both beautiful and practical. While a new rug collection is in the works, Softicated is already positioning itself as a remarkable discovery for those who want to invest in design objects that tell a story and transform living spaces into a true art of living.
